‘Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit,

and the door which gives access to the other sacraments (CCC 1213).’

Parents who want their child to be baptised will be supported by the parish.

Preparation will be given that will help them raise their child in the Catholic faith prior to the baptism. Preparation is usually arranged involving a home visit.
