Father,

Grant that your Church may be a witness to the Kingdom promised by your Son Jesus Christ. May all who believe follow in his footsteps so that all may see in us the truth of his message of love and care for all our neighbours. May the example of the Good Samaritan be our guide in all that we do and say. Free us from self-regard in our dealings with others and grant us the strength and courage to follow the path which Christ himself followed in his life on earth.
